Description

A fan holder that allows adjusting and securing the airflow direction without the use of screws (beside those for fixing the fan).

I use it on my desktop to keep myself or my external HDD/SSD cool.

It is designed for 92x25mm fans, such as the Noctua NF-A9.

I used two M4x30 bolts to attach the fan to the frame ad added two optional wire fan guards.

You can attach the fan either before or after the main assembly, though I recommend attaching it beforehand.

Assembly instructions:

  • Place the frame onto the mount as shown in the pictures. The frame is symmetrical, so it fits either way.
  • Align the holes on the mount with the threaded holes on the frame
  • In the larger hole, insert and tighten the hinge pin screw. You can use a coin to tighten it by inserting it into the slot on top of the screw.
  • In the smaller hole, insert and tighten the knob screw.

To adjust the angle:

Loosen the side knob screw, adjust the frame to your preferred angle, and then tighten the side knob screw again.

Enjoy :)

Would be cool for larger fans. I have a 120mm and the other profile sucks

I can try to design one for 120mm fans but I don't have any so I can't test the assembly

Nice, useful. I recommend using these instead of screws https://makerworld.com/en/models/1030104-pc-fan-clips#profileId-1012753
