Vortex Golden Eagle to ISC Adapter

This is a adapter that allows you to screw on a Internal Scope Cap (ISC) v2 (https://internalscopecap.com/) onto a Vortex Golden Eagle scope.

The adapter can screw directly onto the scope or it can be screwed onto the sunshade. For F-class competitions, this allows you to utilize the mechanical iris provided by the ISC to reduce the amount of mirage. Of course, the image will be slightly darker, as you are reducing the amount of light coming through the scope objective however it can result in a clearer image of the target. I'd highly recommend removing the honeycomb and the lens so as not to impact the optical clarity of the scope.

The Vortex Golden Eagle uses a M55xP0.75 thread, while the ISC uses a M50xP0.75 thread.

Printed with PETG with supports. The PETG should stand up to the afternoon sun during a match and is soft enough not to damage your scope. It's not intended for severe environments, but it's easy enough to just print another one if one breaks.

Use care when screwing on the adapter, as the threads are fine and easy enough to cross thread if you use enough force.

Pro-Tip:

If you have the ISC v2, and would like to remove the lens and the honeycomb, simply screw in (not out!) the two grub screws on the outer housing. You should only need to screw them in far enough to allow the outer housing to be removed. This will help to keep all the internal parts together and allow you to remove the lens and honeycomb easily. After removal of the lens and/or honeycomb, simply replace the outer housing and unscrew the grub screws until they are flush with the outer housing again.
