Description

UPDATE 2/17/25

After some feedback, I have redesigned the model and now have a specific profile for the A1 mini.

I like the Wyze Cam OG. It is the cheapest yet still very reliable model of cameras they offer. Compared to the factory camera that is on the printer, the Wyze OG is the G.O.A.T.

So I searched for a mount that held the Wyze OG cam, and found one. However after using it, I felt that it was too wobbly. So I made some revisions. I extended the toolhead guide, made the connection between the mounting point and the camera base thicker, and flipped the orientation. I came up with a version that was far less wobbly, had more strength, had the same amount of camera mobility, and still protected the toolhead cable, while giving you the perfect view of the print bed.

As far as clearances go:

If you have a top mounted AMS then you are golden

If your AMS is wall mounted on the side like mine you are good

If your AMS is flat on the table, its best to have it to the left of the printer so no conflicts occur between camera and PTFE cables

It holds the camera base as snug as possible and it stays put, even with much vibration from fast motor movements. It took me about 10 tries to get to a model that I felt was acceptable. Let me know what you think!

UPDATE! I decided to do away with the tool head cable protection and made another profile for those who may want to use less filament, or who have their own independent system to protect their tool head cable :)
