SONY WALKMAN MP3 PLAYER NW-E394 Case Cover

Greetings, fellow 3D printing enthusiasts,

My son recently acquired a Sony Walkman MP3 player, model NW-E394—a rather pricey device I felt compelled to protect. I disapprove of leaving such items unprotected in pockets.

The player's metallic finish makes the back susceptible to scratches; repeated sliding across surfaces would likely diminish its luster.

To prevent this, I sought a form-fitting protective case that allowed for easy operation and charging—a permanent solution, if you will.

It seemed ideal, so I immediately began printing. However, the results were disappointing; the case itself was excellent, but the player didn't fit. Countless hours were spent testing and adjusting the scale until the player fit perfectly. It's secure, and doesn't shift even when inverted.

Differences from the original:

• Precise scaling for the device.
• Addition of a border for enhanced adhesion during printing.
• Tree supports, easily removed, though caution is advised to avoid damaging the thin shell.

A minor note: Those experiencing overhang issues might consider adding a small support to the top edge; otherwise, the first layer may sag slightly (not a significant problem; easily removed and invisible).

I printed this on a Bambu Lab P1S using red PLA Basic.
