Description

A fully 3d printable balisong, but instead of a knife it has a pencil (any standard pencil fits). The design is heavily inspired by a balisong made by iczfirz: https://makerworld.com/en/models/543722?from=search#profileId-461482. I used the same hinge method and general shape.

After everything is printed, you can assemble the balisong by joining the handles to the main part with 1.75mm filament. The same goes for the lock piece. To keep the filament in place, you can melt it shut with a soldering iron or use tape, but it isn’t strictly necessary— the filament stays in place quite well on its own. Surprisingly, the filament works quite well as a method to connect everything. The rotation is very smooth and you can do most tricks you can do with a regular balisong.

Overall it writes decently and is fun to fidget with.

If you end up printing or modifying it I would love to see the results.
