Gun Spring Factory - Spring Maker tool - 10x120
Print Profile(3)

Description
This is my spring maker tool, inspired by spring factory tools that i have tried around, to be able to bend piano wire into springs for plastic replica guns.
** prefer the no support version, prints great and no need for supports to be removed (which is a pain)
Specifically i needed a 10x100 mm spring for a 1911 platypus and no tool was able to bend the wire into that shape.
I used 1mm piano wire that i had available, but it is a bit too stiff for a toy gun (and quite hard to process). Still it worked.
I designed a 45mm and a 120mm base coil to bend the wire in to springs.
Boost Me (for free)
I designed this for my own need and for fun, i hope it can be useful to you too!
If you like it, I would really appreciate a boost !
It is free and encourages me to design and publish more.
how to use:
1- print the 2 pieces (base and nut)
2- screw the nut almost all the way
3- thread the wire into the nut and then into the base hole, leaving a good 2cm out of the base hole
4- bend the wire that comes out of the base to avoid it slipping out
5- start coiling by unscrewing the nut
6- once done cut the wire from the nut and the base (a bit tricky)
7- unscrew the spring
8- profit
Check out my latest iteration, it is modular so you can make springs of any lenght!
