Description

AMS Lite connector. This usable part is now printable with a 0.4 nozzle. Can provide power to 5V electronics.

This can also be used as a standard P4 (4-pin) Molex Connector.

My intention and use for this modification was to wire up a 5v LED strip or a ESP32 to the AMS Lite port on my A1 Mini that would show status indications alongside the use of HomeAssistant & Octo-anywhere. This replicates similar functionality to that of the BLLED project.

You'll see in one of the photos of the model, I have cut off a portion of a dupont jumper wire to use as the connective material.

Strength Issue:Model looks nice, however with 0.4mm nozzle its not possible to make the piece thin enough. The ends break inside the port and its very hard to take them out without damaging the port. If you have 0.2mm nozzle you can try though.

I understand you state you cannot provide electronics commentary, however, since you are certain that 5V objects can be connected, I understood that port delivers 24V. I have an ESP32 to connect, but I fear damaging it

I used a buck converter to step down to 5v

You can’t be serious.

Why does it look like it's made of mud? I suggest you check your print settings. Even the ender 3 printers from 7 years ago print better.

apologies if you had any trouble. the novelty of this particular profile is that it will produce an object that WORKS with a 0.4mm nozzle. you would ABSOLUTELY get a much prettier product if using a 0.2mm nozzle.
