Delonghi Magnifica Reusable Waterfilter (DLSC002)

I have designed a more “environmentally friendly” and cheaper alternative to the original Delonghi water filter, which makes it possible to purify the water for the machine using activated carbon. The housing is simply filled with activated charcoal (from 1mm in size) and closed absolutely tightly with a lid and sealing ring, so that the filter can be refilled.

I have designed 2 different lids for the filter, one for 2mm thick sealing rings and one for thicker ones. The sealing rings are very tight, which is why there is no leakage of liquid and activated carbon (at least in my case). 

A total of 2 sealing rings are required, one for the connection to the water tank (16mm x 2.65mm) and one for the lid (I chose the thicker version 28mm x 3.55mm).
