Description
Increases tension on the Logitech / Saitek X52 flightstick by shimming the spring.
Depress the spring and press this shim up into the base of the joystick handle. It adds some extra centering tension so it doesn't feel quite as much like playing with a limp handshake. This is the maximum shim possible with the stock spring. Any more, and the spring bottoms out and the travel limits would be impinged.
Note that I only have the original Saitek X52. I believe it should work with the Logitech variant too. I have heard the X52 Pro has an extra spring so this might be unnecessary, detrimental, or fail to fit at all on those models. I don't have one so I don't know.
Designed for:
- Saitek X52 (tested)
Logitech X52 (not tested)
Testing needed on:
- Saitek X52 Pro (not tested)
- Logitech X52 Pro (not tested)
Tips:
- Clean and grease the bearing surfaces of the cone and shaft. This is more critical with the added pressure.
- Ultimately, for smoothest action damping grease should be used, with a boot to protect it from contamination. I'll try to design a boot for TPU.
