Description

This page does not contain the latest version. Please see below.

Version 3 now available here.

Why version 3.0?

It's better in every way, except it is a bit larger.

If you value the original compact design over anything else, you may still prefer the latest update to version 2 here. Otherwise, I highly recommend version 3.

Version 2.1.2

This version features an additional option for a deeper winder knob. The original slim-line knob was difficult to grip for some, so an alternate version with a more pronounced gripping feature has been provided.

Also check out the compatible full-width knob created by PeGys here.

Version 2.1.1

This version features several revisions including:

  • Thicker main tube for increased strength
  • Adjusted geometry of snap-fit pieces for easier assembly.
  • Adjusted geometry and print orientation to enable printing without support material
  • Longer main tube to fit slightly wider ties
  • Skinny tie version included for ties approx. 60cm in width (thanks @Trush23)
  • New optional assembly plunger tool

Tie Winder - A Necktie Travel Case.

Use Tie Winder to keep your neckties organized and wrinkle-free when traveling.

The simple 3-piece design snaps together securely with no fasteners or glue required.

Usage instructions:

  • Fold the tie in half, leaving the wider end about 4 inches longer.
  • Insert the fold into the slot in the center peg and out the front opening.
  • Wind the hand winder forward until the tie is completely inside the center tube.
  • To remove, simply pull the tie out of the large side opening.

Assembly tips:

A good amount of force is needed to snap the center peg and hand winder together. To make this easier, place the hand winder on a table and then slot the opening of the main tube over it. Then place the center peg down over the center snap piece and press down in the middle of the peg with an appropriately sized screwdriver or other tool. It is preferred to use the included assembly plunger tool.
