Description

I needed a USB port to power an external lamp near my A1 mini printer, so I made one.

I was inspired by what GeekyDad did here, but I just wanted a single and sleeker port. Following his indications, I found a smaller step down converter that I bought on AliExpress as well as a Micro-Fit 3.0 cable that fits in the AMS port. You can use the LED lamp kit made by Bambu Lab or any other lamp that uses a USB to be powered.

Of course, you'll need a soldering iron to assemble everything; you'll just need the two smaller red and black cables to be soldered on the converter's positive and negative pads, respectively.

In the printer profile, you'll find two plates if you want the USB port to face right (as in the pictures) or left.
