X1CC Left-side panel repair press mold

Hi, Bambu Lab package design team, I would like to kindly request that you consider upgrading the X1CC package design.

It is disheartening to see that the X1CC often arrives with shipping damage.

As a maker myself, I have attempted to design a press mold to repair the damage. If anyone finds themselves in the same situation, they could try to fix the damage themselves to save money.

I received my second X1CC on Saturday.

Unfortunately, my luck was not with me this time.

The corner of the package was dented and deformed from the impact...

I thought to myself, “This is bad, the machine must have been damaged...”

Upon opening the box, my fears were confirmed.

The corner of the left aluminum casing was damaged from the impact.

I was shocked!

I attempted to contact official customer service.

However, the response I received was that I would have to bear the risk of using a non-official freight forwarding service.

I originally planned to use the official freight forwarding service for this shipment, but when I changed the address to Taiwan, I was unable to checkout.

As a result, I chose to use XX郎's freight forwarding service.

The package from my previous order was also damaged, but it didn't affect the contents.

This time, the machine itself was directly damaged.

I saw the delivery driver when he brought the package to me.

He kicked the package out of the truck bed and gave it to me.

I felt this was very unprofessional.

In any case, I can't file an RMA for replacement parts.

I can only attempt to repair it myself.

Fortunately, the glass on the top cover was not broken.

The internal structure is robust and undamaged.

My initial assessment is that only the aluminum casing is deformed.

The next step is to attempt to create a mold.

I will try to use sheet metal to repair the deformed areas.

After some hammering and tweaking, the deformed areas look pretty good! XD.

It's also fortunate that the damaged area is at the back of the machine, making it less noticeable.

After reassembling and testing the printer, it is working fine.

I saw some other seniors in the group.

Some people had worse damage than me.

Broken glass...

The aluminum panels were deformed and crooked...

I think I'll try switching to another freight forwarding company next time.

I really like this 3D printer.

But I still want to vent a little.

Bambu designed a machine that has received almost perfect reviews.

However, the package design is unacceptable.

It is not sturdy enough to withstand long-distance transportation...

At least use EPS or EPE foam instead of the flimsy styrofoam.

They provide much better protection...

If you unfortunately encounter the same problem as me,

and you cannot file a claim for compensation,

you can try to repair it yourself.
