Description

After printing some other useful gym organization prints for some of my other equipment, I couldn't find an Abmat wall mount anywhere, so I decided to make one. It's rather crudely modeled after a metal frame that I saw for sale, but it is rather effective so I am publishing it in case anyone else can make use of it.

It's designed for my Abmat which measures roughly 30cm wide and puffs out to about 6-7 cm, but I made the “arms” slightly wider and deeper than that, so they should have some room for bigger or smaller mats.

My goals for this design were to minimize the support required, and have it fit onto my print bed (256x256mm). I did have a two-piece version but it would have required much more support, whereas this three-piece version requires almost no supports except for the overhang on the bottom piece. If you are brave, you can print the bottom piece standing vertically and forego the need for supports entirely.

For real-world operational prints, I like to use PETg for the added durability and flexibility. Because these are larger pieces, be mindful of the lateral shrinkage and lifting that you can get with PETg. I would recommend glue for additional adhesion on this print if you don't have an enclosure.

Can be mounted to the wall with M3 (or similar) screws.
