Bambu Lab A1 Mini Spool Holder Extender with print-in-place bearings

This increases spool support from 68mm to 80mm (min spool hole diameter is 52mm), allowing for some other common wider spools to be used.

 

It probably didn't need bearings, I just felt like a challenge. I have found it actually quite convenient for unloading filament though!

10 overengineers out of 10! Hahaha! Amazing work, really liked it! I have added a bit of silicone lube inside the bearings to smooth out the rotation, helps a lot (silicone is ok to use with plastic).

Very good, practical and prevents the spool from twisting, it stays straight. Printed on eSUN PLA+ gray, for the bearings I got better results with 0.97 flow and 210 degrees, they were then fluid right out of the plate. Thank you!

:( the second part of the bearing spool faills time after time. not the printer, cleaned the plate etc. at first it prints the 3 layers ok but then it knocks of the printed areas 🥴help. printed in PLA

Put a thin layer of glue stick on your bed. Bambu's textured PEI kinda sucks with adhesion on small details, especially if your plate is old.

Superb creation! The spool rotates silently (after lubricating the bearings with silicone grease) printing flawlessly. I am a beginner and I managed without any problems. Keep creating, bravo!

This is an excellent thing. Printed fine on A1 mini, single plate/colour pla+, no issues. Normal spools are now in a much better position and roll smoothly, I've had no tangles since installing this. Thanks
