This is a case meant for the base game of catan along with the Cities & Knights and Seafarers expanion player pieces based on this set here.
This is my first model ive ever made from scratch so there might be some bugs or better ideas for what can be fixed with the model. And excuse my unfinished pieces, Im in the process of painting them. I made the model cause there was lots of model for organizing the player pieces and other for storaging them, but not all together into one. So i decided to make it myself. The case dimensions are made to fit 2x2 on the bottom of the case used by copehill077's 3D Catan Organizer Trays. If you have 6 players you can stack the other 2 on top with extra room for cards and other pieces.
The cases stack on themselves easy and that includes the bottoms being used on top while playing to have an elevated platform for your pieces. Your pieces will stay in place and wont be bumping into each other while inside and when you open next time, all you need is to take off the lid and go. The top part is a bit stiff top open and thats why theres a tab on the side to help, and can be a bit of a hassle to put on with the pieces inside.
I'll be making more verisons of this for different combos of the expansions and a case for the city improvments within the next few weeks when I have time. Thanks!
Update 9/21/24: With some feed back I decided to update this model to be a bit more friendlier to putting the lid on and a couple of things too.
- The walls between the ships and the knight slots are removed and the ceiling of each of those areas are lowered, making it to the point that the ships and knights cant leave the slots they're in and makes it easier to put together. As shown:
- The roads and road connectors slots have been adjusted in size.
-The ship slots have been increased a bit in size to fit the ship pieces better into them. Before they were difficult to put into.
