SCX24 wheel arch / wheel well
Print Profile(1)

Description
Hello everybody, this is my first ever model on Makerworld!
We all know the SCX24 original chassis is really tight on space… I needed some more room on my Deadbolt chassis to put a new receiver and ESC for a brushless conversion, but I also always wanted a way to make the body look less “empty” from underneath, as it really made the car look fake… The solution was to make two wheel wells (or wheel arches, whatever you want to call them!) and that solves both my issues!
This was made with simplicity in mind, also I did not want to change the look of the body from the outside, so these will fit right in, without having to trim the body at all! Beacause of that, they will not stick out from underneath the body like most rock sliders do, either!
They're very lightweight (only use 11 grams of filament in total) and it's a very quick print (29 minutes and you'll be good to go!)
PLEASE NOTE
This was modeled on the original Deadbolt chassis/body, so it will only work with that. I'm not sure it will work on other models of SCX24s, but I highly doubt that! Unfortunately I couldn't make a version for the other SCX24 bodies/chassis as I do not own them and it would be impossible to get the dimensions right without having them on hand!
HOW TO MOUNT THEM?
Very easy, just use the original screws on the chassis and screw the wheel arches in place! I have added pictures to show you which screws need to be used to fix these bad boys into place. You will need two extra screws (short m1.4) to fix the rear, as they use an empty hole on the shock/body mount.
BONUS BROWNIE POINTS to whoever recognizes the driver in my Deadbolt :D
