I think this defeats the purpose of the bar end plug. In the event of a crash, the plugs purpose is to prevent your handlebars from taking a core sample from your leg. It looks like your plug would end up impaling your leg, instead of preventing an injury. lol

Strength Issue:the ribs that are supposed to be inserted into the handle bar have a tendency to break.
