Description

This set of boxes is designed specifically for storing cables. They have a lightweight design to use a minimum amount of plastic.

This a remix of the excellent gridfinity cable organiser box system: https://makerworld.com/en/models/510993#profileId-427092 converted to have a base compatible with the gridfinity with pin system allowing these to click securely in place with no need for magnets.

These remain 100% compatible with normal gridfinity bases as well so give you more flexibility.

There are 5 sizes of boxes, all are two gridfinity units wide but vary in length. A stackable version of the 2x2 bin is also available.

Printing recommendation

I used Bambu PETG-HF and printed without supports and they came out well. PLA should also work well.

*The 2x5 with 5 compartments has now been added and as this has a greater span it probably needs some supports, it has been successfully printed by a user doing this.

Compatibility

As per the original designers recommendations these are great for managing short (up to several meters) flexible cables, USB etc

Hi Unfortunately, I cannot print this model the print fails at 7-10% because the parts detach from the build plate Is there a solution

Strange, I've printed loads of them with no issues, have you changed the infill to grid? The profile is set to cross hatch but I have used gyroid as well which works very well

I have increased the PETG setting of the heating bed from 70°C to 80°C now I have no more problems

That's great I'm pleased you have it sorted out, what PETG are you using? I used Bambu PETG HF. If you are using something different can you upload your print profile as it may help others who have issues :) Thanks!

Hello, I like the idea, but I think the 2x1 model is broken. I printed the 2x1 straight from the Bambu handy app on my P1S, but I didn’t realize the model had no base till it printed. Not sure how this is supposed to work with gridfinity.

Hi, Is it possible to make a version 2x5 with 5 compartments for longer cables? I tried doing it myself, but I couldn’t manage to convert it into a body in Fusion 360.
