When using default profiles, one of the two rods frequently warped and lifted off the bed, and removing the brim from the threaded areas was a nightmare, making the parts unusable without heavy post-processing.Key Improvements:<ul><li>Layer Height: 0.2 mm – Essential for functional PETG parts. Vinner layers (like 0.1 or 0.16 mm) tend to fuse too strongly, but 0.2 mm ensures a strong build while preventing the brim from welding into the threads.</li><li>Initial Layer Speed: 20 mm/s – A very slow start to guarantee perfect adhesion on the textured plate for the long base.</li><li>Initial Layer Infill: 30 mm/s – Adjusted to prevent the infill from pulling at the perimeters while cooling, which stops the corners from lifting.</li><li>Brim-Object Gap: 0.15 mm – This is the game-changer. It provides enough support to stop warping but leaves a microscopic gap so the brim snaps off the threads effortlessly.</li><li>Bed Temperature: 80°C – Keeps the Alzament PETG stable on the bed throughout the print. (Note: Adjust slightly if using different brands).</li></ul>Results: With these settings, the warping is eliminated. The brim comes off the threads cleanly by hand, allowing the rods to be screwed in perfectly right off the printer.
