Summary
Raspberry Pi 4 SSD Case with fans
This design is inspired by this thing: Raspberry Pi 3 Slim ServerCase but is made from scratch using FreeCAD.
2025/Feb/22 : I added two new plates to support a 40mm fan. Two versions of this cover are available (see plates names) : One flat, where the raspberry is AMS painted, one where the raspberry is 0.22mm hollowed.
2024/Nov/28 : I removed the new print profile mentioned below and updated my main print profile instead. I also added new plates with AMS painted flat covers for the 50mm fan version and the no fan version.
2024/Nov/27 : I added a new print profile containing a cover with mounting holes for a 30mm fan. Two versions of the cover are available (see plates names) : One AMS painted flat one, and one where the raspberry is 0.2mm hollowed. I also added the raspberry on a third plate.
As the title states, this is yet another Raspberry Pi 4 case featuring
- Room for an SSD drive
- Support side-cable and middle-cable SSD -> USB adapter cables
- SSD screw slots to be able to adjust the ssd in its cage to help fit the adapter cable
- An internal slot to hold a 30mm fan
- Multiple cover options :
- Closed
- Vented with holes to hold a 30mm, 40mm or 50mm fan
- Access to the SD card
- Uses M3 screws / nuts to hold the bottom part with middle part (made in a way that screw length from 10mm to 18mm is supported)
Note
- You need to slightly enlarge one screw hole of the Pi (to fit an M3 screw) if you want to be able to use all 4 corner screws
