Description

A straightforward cable chain designed for the A1 X-axis cable. This chain will prevent the cable from sagging and support the connection, minimizing wear on the X-axis cable. 

 

The cable chain features end links that clamp onto both the extruder housing and the X-axis motor housing. 

 

I printed my first set of cable chains with PLA, but the best results are achieved with PETG HF.

Changelog

09 Aug 2024 - Updated a new design for the extruder mount first chain clip. (The old chain clip design couldn’t stay upright after a while.)

 

Works with AMS lite top mount.

 

Total hardware required: 39 chain links, extruder mount bracket, x axis mount bracket , 2-3 ft PTFE tube & coffee.

You can insert a small piece of PTFE tube as shown.
