Description
This is a Miniature Sheet Metal Brake, used for bending precise angles on thin gauge sheet metal/plastics. 100% 3d printed, NO additional hardware or accessories required.
Overall dimensions after assembly are roughly 13.5 in. X 6.5 in. X 2 in.
Clamp bolts print in place and should spin freely with little vertical/horizontal movement.
Hinge pins should fit snugly and will lock into place (may require lightly tapping with a hammer to fully seat).
Infill is set to 100% (solid) for strength and rigidity, it is recommended to keep this setting.
Assembly is pretty straightforward. refer to pictures for broken down view.
I printed mine out of BL's PLA Basic. Not yet sure of its maximum capabilities. Bends 1/32"(.8mm) aluminum plate with ease (shown in pictures). If strength is a concern, consider using a stronger filament.
Again, this tool was designed, and intended for, thin gauge sheet metal.
****CAUTION****
When clamping materials, it is possible to overtighten, which could result in the clamp/bolts bending or breaking.
The clamp is only intended to keep material secure during bending operation. Be careful of overtightening, especially with thicker material being clamped/bent.
