M2 Carbon Steel Hex Nut (20PCS) - AB003
M2x16 SHCS Machine Screw (20PCS) - AA025

Description

This is a case for the Pimoroni Badger 2040 board with e-ink display. It uses the built in holes to secure the board, and has 6 wonderfully clicky buttons that snap in to the upper shell for easy assembly.

Printing Instructions

This case has 4x M2 nuts that are encased in the print. This works by adding a print pause in Bambu Studio when the opening for the hex nut is complete, pressing in the hex nuts (no glue required) and resuming the print.

I have already added a pause on layer 19 in my print profile, remember to add it back if you make any changes.

Assembly

  1. Press in the buttons into their slots
  2. Insert the Badger board
  3. Align the first screw through the badger board's hole
  4. Screw in the remaining 3 screws

Hardware Required

This case requires:

  • 4x M2x16 machine screws
  • 4x M2 hex nuts

Any brand can be made to work, see instructions below. I used screws and nuts I already had from an AliExpress kit.

Fitting your hardware

You can customise the nut/bolt dimensions using the Autodesk fusion files by changing the parameters below.

To measure your M2 nut/bolts, you can print and use my customisable hex measuring gauge.

Looks great! How are you powering the badger?

I made this for a friend of mine who's powering it with a coin cell battery. However it seems that most people are powering this with AA batteries. If you give me the dimensions of your battery pack I can upload a print profile for it - or you can edit the fusion model yourself!
