Description
It all started with some wasps choosing to make a nest in a pipe in our yard. I thought I will make a quick OpenSCAD generator and get a few plug sizes printed. Then I thought caps might also be a good idea and why stop at round, when there are square and rectangular pipes/tubes as well.
So … I present you the customizable pipe cap and plug generator.. works for wall outlet plug, screw holes or any other types of holes as well.
What you will need:
Outer diameter for round or outer dimensions for the rectangular/square pipes
Inner diameter, if you want to make a plug.
You can choose the base/top thickness and the tubular part size.
Default wall width is 0.84 - 2x the default wall width on my A1 Mini. You can enter a different one as well.
For round plugs/caps, you can also choose to have a chamfer. Sorry … currently not an option for the rest.
¾ pipe plug and cap included in the print profile as example. Nothing more than entering the dimensions of the pipe is done on those.
