Description

This is a print-in-place carabiner which works by a compliant spring to open. When printed horizontally it provides quite a bit of strength. Because it is really stylish too, it can also be worn as e.g. a keychain addon.

If you have really good bed adhesion, you don't need any brim or supports. Otherwise, a Brim (mouse ears work quite well) is advised.

Model is scalable and layer height does not matter. Infill percentage depends on personal preference and expected strength.

Cool model - but there's a little too much lateral movement on the arm for this to be trusted for holding securely.

The print quality was good, but I am not at all satisfied with the design The spring is very loose and the gap where the carabiner meets is very large Overall, I find the carabiner very unstable The movable part also has too much lateral play It does not hold together, rendering it unusable However, I thought the idea itself was excellent In my opinion, the strength and gaps should be optimized here, then the design will certainly be good
