Description

Please drop a like of you enjoyed it and don't forget to post your makes!

A puzzle for your dog or cat which you can fill with treats and watch your pet figure out how to open it!

Very little and easy to remove support for just one of the parts, the Spinner.

I have added all the STEP-files.

Printing:

Material: PLA or PETG

Layer height: 0,24mm or lower

Infill: 15%

Supports: Only for the Spinner for middle overhang.

Print all parts laying flat for the best result.

Assembly:

  1. Insert all 6 Sliders into their slots on the Base.
  2. Attach the Spinner over the Base.
  3. Secure the Spinner with the Lock by pressing the Lock down hard in the middle, it might need a little bit of glue to seal tight.
  4. Fill it with treats and have your pet go at it! :)

The standard model measures 170 mm in diameter and 15,5 mm in height (I have a tiny dog). Naturally, it's scalable to your liking. ;)

I’ve got 3 or four commercial ones of these type. This is definitely a more advanced one. The bugger still finished it in a couple of minutes. Thanks for the model. Will be using it a lot!

is level three harder than this one? If so, absolutely!

I can make a harder one, just need to figure something out. Maybe some sort of multi lock system? Or maybe a gear system so that the pet needs to turn a wheel many rotations to open a hatch?

It happens sometimes if you for example abort a print (even if you do it later). Glad you liked it!

I used the designer's profile. For the BasePlate I swapped the filament at layer 22 and 61.

High quality print and great pet puzzle! Printed the "Large version" remixed by @bovineblitz . Be aware in this version Plate #3 needs supports enabled. My daughter greatly appreciates it for her little Japanese Spitz, Bellissimo. Keep up with the great designs! Used Kingroon PETG Yellow and Dark Blue.

Puppy loves it, used the larger print as she struggled with the smaller one (which was gifted to my sister's cat!) Really nice quality print.

this is the best pet puzzle of this style that i've found so far. his other ones haven't really been much of a challenge for him, so adding another layer of complexity felt necessary. he figured it out pretty quickly the first time, the second time he was a bit slower, and then by the third time it's like he couldn't figure out what he did the first two times. I realized that it kind of lucked out by hooking his nail onto the rotating portion by accident, but he's not super dexterous. I had printed it as per your profile, but I went in afterwards and added some Primitives to the rotating portion on top, so that he had something tactile to grip onto. I apologize for making it look ugly, but this was literally a 5-minute fix where I just flipped it over added some chunks, flipped it back and then printed it with tree supports. to my surprise it actually worked, and he's enjoying it a lot more now. Great design, here's a boost!

Thanks for the review! I just made this for my dog a while back and never imagined it blowing up the way it did.

Liked the first one, this one is better! Printed perfectly. I did have to re-print the green locking section after I melted the original while cleaning off dog saliva - don't use super hot water on PLA! ;)
