Description

Parametric model made in Grasshopper/Rhino

Printed in PLA, no infill

I wanted a tactile, fidget sculpture and found that 65 mm worked well for me (it's the size of a tennis ball).

This was made for the math art competition and you can actually have 5 models in the competition.

What else would you like to see?

  • A small version based on the Tetrahedron
  • Something with a lot more parts (the icosahedron has 20, the Tetrahedron would have 4).
  • A hyperhedron with more variation of the different parts (the Icosahedron have identical parts)
  • Maybe not so polished and regular, more twisty
  • … or something else.

Inspiration

I think that as soon as you click one of these links you will see where my inspiration came from.

At the same time I'm incredibly happy and proud that my sculpture is original and adds something new.
