Print Profile(5)

Description
A multifunctional laptop stand that was designed to provide a better viewing experience and better airflow while gaming. It also acts as a vertical stand for your laptop while plugged into a monitor. Suitable for smaller printers such as the A1 Mini and Prusa Mini.
Option 1 - Full Stand
Full stand that can be printed in one go on most printers. Provided are print files for BambuLab X1C / P1S / P1P / A1.
Option 2 - Stand w/ Dovetail Joints
Stand that has been split in two with friction fit dovetail joints. The joints were designed without any tolerances so that it could be sanded down to a friction fit. I had to sand it down for about 3 mins with a P120 grit before a smooth fit after it was printed on my Prusa Mini. The dovetail joints have been implemented at an angle to ensure that downward force does not disassemble it. Although it is designed to be a friction fit, it will wear down after some months and I added a single piece of tape on the tail portion of the dovetail which fixed it.
I have provided the print files for both the A1 Mini (sliced in Bambu Studio) and the Prusa Mini+ (sliced in PrusaSlicer).
For those who want to create their own prints files, the settings I applied in the slicer to achieve my results were:
- Wall Loops : 7
- Top Shell Layers : 0
- Bottom Shell Layers : 0
- Infill Pattern & Density : Honeycomb @ 15%
Optional: I have also added some foam pads on the bottom of mine to provide better grip on my table surface. As well single foam pieces on the top side to increase the grip on my laptop. This is entirely optional but I have found PLA surfaces do not provide sufficient grip.
There are some areas which I think could be redesigned to be more functional and have better aesthetics. If there is demand I will revisit this with a V2 iteration. Meanwhile I have uploaded the raw STL files for both versions so that it could be remixed and shared as permitted under the CC BY-NC-SA License.
Happy Printing!
Boost Me (for free)
I am currently a student and I love creating functional models. My Prusa Mini is on its last legs and I am saving up to buy a BambuLab P1S or X1C. You could help me by boosting this model on MakerWorld.
Thank you for your support!
