Description
New Version that fit all Babyphone Cameras with a standard Camera Thread 1/4-20 UNC
Easy to print, no supports, all bolts printable
Idea
Newly made dad who didn't feel like spending money again for a simple holder and also didn't wanted to drill holes in the wall.
I made the first version specific for the Momcozy Setup, but didn't like that you saw a bolt in the view.
This new version don't has this problem anymore and is compatible to many more Cameras that have the 1/4-20 UNC Thread.
I modeled a Hirth Joint between the camera platform and the base with 20 clicks to adapt the angle.
* Update
I reworked all bolts and threads to have more play
Added *.step File, feel free to modify
The parts
- Clamp base
- Base top
- Camera platform
- 1x big 20mm bolt, easy turn-able with your hand
- 1x 6mm bolt to connect base with top
- 1x 10mm bolt with handle to adjust camera angle
- 1x 1/4-20 UNC camera bolt
How to assemble?
- Verify if the bolt holes don't have small filament pieces, if so, remove them with a cutting tool
- Check all bolts before assemble in there holes, sometimes you need to turn them back and forth a bit (i removed between 0,1-0,15 mm on all bolt threads - needed when you 3d print bolts)
- Connect base top to the base with the 6mm bolt - 5mm Allen Key needed (the 6mm is longer than the 1/4-20 UNC bolt)
- Screw the 20mm bolt in the base
- Connect you camera to the platform with the 1/4-20 UNC camera bolt - 5mm Allen Key needed
- Now connect platform to top base with the 10mm bolt with handle
- Tight all bolts Carefully, no need over tighten.
What do you need?
- Parts and bolts should be printed with different settings. Bolts need to be stronger
Printing instructions
- I printed all on an Creality K1
- I recommend PETG now, because its more flexible and don't change after time
- Certainly you can use your own filament with your settings. The table below are my setting which give me good results for the bolts.
| Parts | Quality | Support | Infill | Brim | Walls | Top-/Bottom Layer |
| Base / Top / Platform | 0.16mm | No | 25% Gyroid | No | 3 | 4-6 |
| Bolts | 0.16mm | No | 50% Gyroid | No | 4 | 5-6 |
