Dragon Boat Festival Gift - Rice Dumpling/traditional Chinese rice-pudding

Unlike other designer-designed rice dumplings, this time I designed a "rice" version of the rice dumpling. In Cantonese, "rice" represents wealth, so this rice dumpling means that it can bring wealth. Therefore, the造型 design focuses on restoring the rice grain structure of the rice dumpling, and finally designs a real, plump multi-rice version of the rice dumpling model.

This model has the following features:

1: Almost no support design, very suitable for printing with various materials.

2: Component assembly design, convenient for multi-color printing, the rice ball can easily achieve monochrome version, multi-color version assembly. Easy to achieve traditional white rice dumplings, brown rice dumplings, colorful rice dumplings, etc.

3: The rice ball printed with transparent PLA material has a very good texture, which can achieve the texture of rice.

4: In addition to being beautiful and fun, this model also has a storage box function, which is very suitable for playing and daily use.

This design has two versions, one with a rope and the other without a rope. The following are the assembly instructions for the two versions

• Rope version assembly instructions

In addition to the main body of the rice ball, the rope version mainly uses two leaf bases that are stacked and embedded at the bottom of the rice ball, and finally uses a rope to reinforce it. Its structural diagram is as above. The two leaves have a nested structure design, as shown below:

The specific installation instructions for this version are as follows:

1: First, insert the smaller leaf into one corner of the rice ball. Be sure to test all corners to find the most matching corner of the rice dumpling, and install them tightly.

2: Find the correct angle to install the second leaf, and completely achieve the nested structure of the two leaves.

3: There is a recess in the middle of the two leaves. In order to facilitate the nesting of the rope, when installing the rope to reinforce it, the knot of the rope needs to be aligned with the position where the two leaves overlap in the figure below, and then the rope is inserted into the recess of the leaves. You can tighten it corner by corner to achieve the best fixing effect.

Finally complete the assembly

To achieve a better rope effect, you can choose to print the TPU version of the rope, which will provide a better playing experience.

Rope-free version installation instructions

This version uses the same rice ball model as the rope version, but does not need to be reinforced with a rope, but uses three leaves nested together to achieve a solid reinforcement effect. Its printing list and structural diagram are as follows:

When installing, you need to find the correct up and down relationship of the three leaves. Their structure is shown in the figure below:

The specific installation process is as follows:

1. Find the most suitable angle and install the first leaf (leaf2_a) close to the rice ball.
2. Install the second leaf (leaf2_b). The figure below shows the structure of the two leaves.
3. Install the third leaf (leaf2_c). This leaf needs to be pressed down with great force. Once it is successfully inserted, it can be easily pulled out and reinstalled later.
