how do I even safely get the tube connector off?

Haven't tried yet, but looking at the back of the "power head" (where the tube connector is mounted) reveals 2 screws. It looks like the plate could be removed, allowing access to the base of the connector, which I'm assuming are locking tabs.

You have to open the back cover and then unclip it from the inside

It was a good fit and good print result. Unfortunatly, the first time I tried to remove the cover, the feet broke off immediatly. Maybe its because i used PLA instead of PETG. But for the time it was on, it looked awsome :)
