Description

A basic thread adapter receiving a ½"x28 into its female end, with a ¾"x16 on the male end.

very difficult to thread initially onto the male end and female end. male end lacks a good starting thread and female seems to likewise struggle. had to file an edge onto the male and cut a taper into the female. continually wanted to crossthread and eventually I just cranked it down and hope that the diameters are mating as they are supposed to be. Printed on p1s in PA6CF, 0.16mm layers, 0.4mm nozzle. 6 walls, 100 infill which wasnt at any point required due to part size. Edit: two hours later the part snapped off at the base of the male threads.

I had the same issues, tap and die were very hesitant to start properly. Haven't had it snap, although I haven't actually used it yet either - perhaps I'll anneal before I do. Were you using Fiberon by chance? I think (iirc) their TDS showed the lowest strength values for the different PA6's I was looking at.

FIberon PA6CF using 300blkfde's settings which at its most basic is 300c at 15-30 mm/s. I printed a second one and was more gentle not to over-thread it into the other device and it survived the trip.

I just ran this print on my A1 and it came out flawless. Although I will admit you will need to persuade the first rotation on since it does not have a starting thread so to speak.
