This is version 2 of my popular “Door holder handle latch”. It has various improvements including a fully connected hinge so it cannot come apart like the previous versions and even better fit to the handle for those who struggled to get the original version to fit without scaling it. It is a print-in-place design.
This simple, quick print can help prevent clogs by keeping your door open and secure and also improve print quality by not allowing the door to swing about. I've been told it is also great for keeping inquisitive cats out :)
Here are some comments for happy customers from the V1 design:
“wow wow wow this model is a dream come true we printed it with eryone tricolor PLA. Turned out beautiful and will be using this for quite a while.”
“love it! They work really well!”“printed perfectly. I use it everyday!”
“A truly elegant and functional design”
“This is one of the most well done, useful mods for the X1-C I've used”
If you prefer there is a version which replaces the original handle rather than snapping on reusing the stock handles screws - takes 2 minutes to fit: https://makerworld.com/en/models/453771#profileId-361187
Also - check out the matching top glass holder: https://makerworld.com/en/models/413801#profileId-315832
As requested please see the video in the pictures to show how to install it - it just slides on without needing to remove the handle.
A very small number of people find it is too tight - I think this is usually due to the filament used, but it is easily fixed - Please do not force it on if it is too tight. There are some 101% versions in the profile - try them! Alternatively try the full handle replacement version here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/453771#profileId-361187
