Description

Summary

Finger-holed ergonomic handle for reciprocating saw blades. One piece to print, minimal supports, one M3x10 nut/bolt. No drilling or modifying the saw blade.

Print Settings:

PLA, Smooth Plate, 0.4 Nozzle, 0.2 Layers, 5 Wall Looops, 5 Top/Bottom Shell Layers, 20% Cubic Infill, Auto Tree Support (supports blocked for uppermost hole and inside blade area).

This print is exactly what I was looking for. I printed it in PET from 100% recycled bottles. I also used the bricklayer script for additional strength https://github.com/TengerTechnologies/Bricklayers

the print itself is great, but the clearance for the blade is too loose for fine tooth Milwaukee blades and too deep for the Diablo wood blade. can't say for other brands.

This is awesome! Exactly what I was looking for. Perfect for cutting small pieces of wood without having to break out the whole heavy reciprocating saw.

I tried this and it printed really nice, however the blade was very loose in my case.

unfortunately recip blade thicknesses vary depending on the intended cutting material and brand. i tried to use a happy medium for that measurement so it would fit a thicker wood blade but also be ok for a thinner metal blade. ill look into making a few different versions depending on the blades people plan to use.
