Description

Hey there lover Snail… need some massage lotion? I found this secret sauce at this Amazon Prime affiliate link: https://amzn.to/4h8M2ql

Print Settings:

.2 layer height // I used 2 walls and 15% infill and stood on it without breaking… I'm 200 lbs. (it's all Snail shell, I promise). Not bad for only 30 grams of filament.

The sphere will break free with a little firm love and rotate freely, to accomplish this go around the bottom of the ball and gently pry upward from the base. You should hear some light (and very satisfying) cracking as the ball releases from the base, this is normal, continue until the sphere rotates freely.

Massage on, good friend, massage on.

Post your make, please!!!!!! I love to see them!

A print in place didn't work. The ball couldn't be released. I printed the ball individually and printed it with PET as a support. Works great and the ball is very easy to turn. Thanks to the creator

right on, I put some reliefs at the bottom of the ball to allow it to break free, but I only tested in ABS so it sounds like not accounting for other materials bit me lol. I really appreciate the feedback and tell your wife I said thanks! makes my day to hear about people using the models :)

Can you make it support adjustable spacing? Via sliding or snap-together spacers?

I had a lot of trouble with this model, the balls didn't print very cleanly, so the motion is rough which basically defeats the point of the rolling ball. I really wanted to love this, so maybe I'll try again, but so far I haven't had a lot of luck.

I didn't see a print in place profile. The profile with supports printed ok, but the ball doesn't turn freely because the supports did not release in a clean way.
