Thanks! ❤️

Thank you for considering my Thule Chariot Bike Mount model!

Every parent knows the problem: You want to take the stroller but your kid wants to take the bike. All good until it's time for the way back…

That's where this handy little gadget comes in handy! Simply clip it onto the Thule Chariot frame and hook up the bike.

NOTE: I've revisited the model and simplified the geometry. The corresponding print profile is marked as “V2”:

  1. The lever has no overhang anymore
  2. The big chamfers on both sides have been removed
  3. The flexing part has been significantly reduced. It now solely consists of 4 walls next to each other, no infill anymore.

This change has been made to make this a fool proof print with almost any material. I will however recommend PETG. It will last throughout the hottest summer days, whereas PLA can be weakened enough in direct sun to render the part unusable.

The original model and print profile will still be available. I recommend you go for V2 though.

This is a remix of Denste17's bike mount, which is also a remix of Florian Z's (Weberflo) Multihalter für Thule Chariot. My remix is based on another remix by Philipp Unstoppable (allXages) who added a PLA Version.

Differences to original models:

Denste17's Mount unfortunately didn't work for me (snap fit broke away) and Philipp's version's connection seemed a little fragile around the flex hole.

So I modified the flex hole position to make the connection a little more rigid (2 walls stronger). In addition I modified the lever in order to be in a (for me) more ergonomic position. Denste17's version had two big fillets on the side, out of which the one laying down on the print bed would always print a little untidy due to the big overhang. Therefore I exchanged the big fillets on both sides for chamfers in order for the model to print a little cleaner.

I hope you enjoy this model! 😘

I printed it in PETG and it broke when trying to clip it on on our Thule Chariot 2023..

Oh noes! I'm sorry to hear that. Did you engage the lever when clipping it on? Anyways that is not supposed to happen. I will review the model shortly! Thanks for your feedback!

what do you mean by "engage the lever"?

The first attempt resulted in a broken handle, but the second print was successful Unfortunately, our bicycle is too heavy for the carrier, causing it to tip over when the bike is attached 🥲 Update: Works perfectly with the trailer attached to the bike

Broken off in the sense that the flexible part is broken or the entire part is broken off due to the weight of the wheel? Yes, I believe the tipping is “normal” and does not indicate that your wheel is too heavy. The center of gravity is usually on the rear axle anyway, and as soon as even a little weight pulls further back, the cart tips over. As soon as the cart is attached to a bicycle coupling, it works well again. Alternatively, place a backpack (or a child) etc. in the footwell when walking 🙂

I’ve printed it on my A1 mini with PolyTerra PLA+. Works like a charm on my Thule Sport 2 seats from 2018
