Description

Introducing a 3D-printable bearing design for a smaller ball bearing. This model is engineered for easy "Print in Place" use, allowing it to be printed without additional supports and ready to be used right out of the printer. The design prioritizes minimizing friction by optimizing tolerances between the 25 mm outer diameter (D) and 10 mm inner diameter (d), ensuring smooth rotation. The bearing incorporates two types of ball bodies to facilitate efficient movement. It may be necessary to spin the bearing a few times after printing to ensure that it rotates freely.
To ensure proper adhesion during printing, it's essential to thoroughly clean the print bed. The ball bodies have a small contact area on the print bed. If not properly cleaned, this could lead to print failure. However, with good adhesion on the first layer, the print will progress smoothly.

Specifications:

  • Outer diameter (D): 25 mm
  • Inner diameter (d): 10 mm
  • Width (B): 7,5mm

Note: I've uploaded a bigger bearing as well (D=50mm; d=25mm).
