Description

Summary

NOTE: I will be adding to this post more designs ONLY AS THEY ARE REQUESTED so far its just these 4 but if you want something custom then message me and I'll see what I can do because I love you guys and feel free to donate to support me @ Paypal.me/cjwelcome .This assortment of AR gun grips is the perfect little print if you're looking for a cool customization to your AR or any build that utilizes an AR style grip. I got the base model from GrabCAD from K.A. MacKay and then edited the model from there to have the Hex pattern to be as 3D printer friendly as possibly which I've printed successfully by placing the flat top surface on the build plate with a 10 layer wide brim to ensure stability. I used 100% infill for stability and longevity of the print and also if you want a little texture to it then Fuzzy Skin works really well and adds a nice feel to it. Best of luck and happy printing everyone!

I tried it twice It failed twice I heated up the bed and I slowed down the printhead and it's still knocked it over twice Is there a way to do it upside down with a bigger end first?

have you tried using brim on the build plate? That should add some more surface area to help prevent it dislodging from the bed while printing

amazing and that’s so great to hear! yes typically this print profile works for most everyone but depending on room temp, printer type, bed adhesion additive etc. it could potentially pop off while printing taller objects. I’m glad it works out great for you and enjoy the grip!

Very easy print. Needs a small amount of post print work, a bit of deburring and sanding. But overall very happy with it. printed easily with the supports and raft. I printed it using a P1S with the free pla the printer comes with. Feels super strong with 100% infill, and still only took 1.5hrs to print. Fits perfectly on my 15-22 using the stock springs and screw. 10/10 for the designer, top notch work.😁😁

Printed great in PLA and feels amazing in the hand, have several hundred rounds no issues. Paired with Print Locker's hexagon themed foregrip and picatinny grip inserts I think they pair quite nicely!

is this strong enough for an AR15 556 if printed with standard PETG? I'm a little concerned using PLA+. but if people have been successful with PLA+, I know PETG, should be good. someday soon, I will upgrade to be able to print PETG-CF, I'm just not there yet.

I didn’t think I’d like a skeletonized grip but this is nice!

Had a couple failed prints, but I’ll take the blame for them. When it did successfully print, it turned out awesome. Feels nice and sturdy. Looking forward to using it.

looks great. only issue is stringing in the holes.

use a lighter and just quickly run the handle over it. it’ll get rid of the stringing without ruining the piece
