This model is a slicing aid tool designed to firmly hold onions (can be used for apples or other foods of the same size/shape) during preparation, while ensuring a safer, more stable, and more consistent cut

The model's teeth are equipped with small studs to hold onions in place without slipping

The regular spacing between the teeth serves as a cutting guide, allowing for uniform and identically sized slices or strips, for a more precise and consistent cut

An integrated ergonomic handle improves grip and overall control during use

The tool also helps secure slicing, especially for children or users uncomfortable with knives, by reducing direct contact with the food and limiting the risk of slips or injuries

PS :

• I printed it in PLA but I recommend using PLA-FS (Food Safe)

• I tested it on normal-sized onions. If you plan to use large onions, you can print the profile at 120%, or scale it if necessary, depending on the variety / size you use

   

Demonstration :

1. Cut an onion in half

    

   

    

2. Place one half on the lower 'Handle" part of the slicer in the direction of cutting

    

   

    

3. Place the upper part ("teeth") above, respecting the assembly direction, then apply slight pressure until you hear a "click", so that the two parts interlock and firmly hold the onion

    

   

    

4. Use a normal-sized kitchen knife (between 1 and 2mm thick max) to slice the onion

    

   

    

5. Remove the upper **toothed** part by pulling on one of the two sides, then collect your onion slices

    

   

    

6.  And voilà !
