Description
Your woodworking shop needs new improved blast gates? You will find here a customizable blast gate for almost any scenario. It's anti clog, no more wood dust stuck inside like the clasic black abs ones (and no more tape trick to fix them) , and no more spending extra on aluminium ones that are also not perfect.
I've put so many details in the customization panel and in the photos, that i cannot say too much here. If you want a perfect blast gate, take the time to read while customizing, and to understand what each does. Sorry if too many details there, some people are beginners in 3d printing and they need all the details they can get !
MAIN FEATURES:
- Customize any possible port diameter (tapered male, female or straight), and any thickness you might need, or port length.
- Let's you choose countersink holes or straight holes for your screws/bolts .
- Option to mount it on it's side to a wall.
- Option to reprint only the slider or small sides with different clearances untill you have the perfect tight fit motion you need.
- I made public some Step files for you to download the 63mm ( 2-½ inch) complete blast gate if you want to inspect things or to change something that you can't customize from panel. Let me know if you consider there is something else to improve.
If your build plate is not bigger than 256mm , you can't customize a port diameter bigger than 101-102mm ( 4inch) , because the generated slider will not fit to print).
After you save a new customized blast gate in a 3MF or STL file, split objects in your slicer to arrange them for printing and use my settings from my print profile for best results with those pins ! PLA and ABS slides smooth, PETG Basic tends to be sticky, needs a fine sandpaper rubbing, and PETG HF if you still have stock, is perfect !
