Print Profile(3)

Description
Modular Insta360 Mic Pro Interview Handle (with compartment for Mic Pro clip etc.)
Print time total around 2 hours for handle, one top, bottom cap.
Turn your Insta360 Mic Pro into a proper handheld interview mic and stash spare gear inside the grip.
Print for Mic Pro with Windshield (dead cat) or without - interchange in seconds - at the bottom is a compartment for your Mic Pro clip.
Both versions come with OPTIONAL CAT EARS ;-) - choose what you want to print.
The Mic Pro will be very safe once clipped in - and easy to remove. I am working on a version that includes the windshield adapter. - coming soon.
Long and short version available. (pictures show the short version)
What it is
A handle that holds the Mic Pro transmitter upright like a classic reporter's stick mic since I got my Insta360 Luna Ultra. The puck clips into the top cradle with no glue, screws, or hardware, and its screen and every mic port stay fully exposed - even if you use the dead cat/windshield. Twist off the bottom and the hollow grip becomes a storage compartment. Three parts to print: the handle and the screw cap and you top of choice.
Designed around the mic, not adapted to it
Every dimension is built around the actual transmitter. The 38.0 × 12.2 mm puck gets a 38.7 mm seat (0.35 mm/side) and a 12.8 mm slot — snug enough to click in, loose enough to thumb out - the windshield version also is a perfect fit. A three‑point clip holds it: two fingers over the top rim at 1:30 and 10:30, a rear plate behind the flat magnetic face, and a lip catching the bottom edge.
The finger positions were deliberately placed in the dead zones between the mic openings, so the top port sits in a 22 mm clear gap and the sides stay wide open — nothing ever covers a mic.
Hidden storage base - This is the perfect place for your Mic Pro clip, since you have to remove it to attach the Mic Pro to this interview handle.
The bottom unscrews to reveal ~27 cm³ inside. The thread is a chunky trapezoidal screw with ~40° flanks, so the cap prints flange‑down with no supports, and the handle's internal thread is cut as the exact negative of the cap so they always mate.
Print settings
PLA or PETG, 0.2 mm layers, ~40 g total. Supports on, suggested support is tree style; base, and cap print support‑free. Handle upright, cap flange‑down.
