Give your LED matrix a home it deserves

This is a clean, ventilated enclosure for 16x32 and 16x16 WS2812B LED matrix panels with the ESP32 controller living right inside. No external control box, no dangling electronics, no zip-tie shame. One enclosure, one power wire, done.

Flash your ESP32 with WLED, drop everything in, and you've got a self-contained pixel display that looks like a finished product instead of a breadboard experiment.

Built for real hardware, not just renders

The matrix sits on internal pillars, leaving a full chamber underneath for the ESP32, wiring, and connectors. Nothing gets squeezed, nothing presses against the back of the panel.

Airflow everywhere. LED panels get warm at higher brightness, so the enclosure has ventilation holes all the way around plus open space under the panel for air to actually move. Your LEDs and your ESP32 stay cool during long runs.

Cable routing your way. There are two power wire exits: one on the back side and one on the bottom wall. Standing on a desk or shelf? Use the back exit and the wire disappears behind the enclosure. Wall mounted? Pick whichever suits your setup, straight out the back or down through the bottom.

Stand it or hang it

  • Free-standing on a desk, shelf, or nightstand
  • Wall mountable with built-in mounting holes on the back

What fits inside

  • 16x32 or 16x16 WS2812B LED matrix panel
  • ESP32 dev board
  • Power and data wiring, connectors, all internal

Why you'll like it

  • Fully enclosed electronics, only one wire leaves the case
  • Pillar-supported panel with airflow chamber underneath
  • Vent holes on all sides for heat management
  • Two cable exit options (back and bottom)
  • Wall mount holes built in
  • Pairs perfectly with WLED audio-reactive and 2D matrix effects

To control the matrix

I use the WLED Max app ( iOS / Android ), great 2D matrix support, live effect previews, and audio-reactive effects.

Print notes

  • No supports needed
  • PETG or ASA recommended (make sure you have the right power supply and check matrix temp on full brightness and LEDs set to white)
  • Print in the sliced orientation
