Description

Never lose a coin toss again! This is a fully parametric, customizable trick coin designed to always land on the side of your choosing. Using the clever physics of a shifted center of mass, one half of the coin is printed completely solid, while the other half contains a hidden, airy cavity. When flipped, gravity takes over—forcing the heavy, solid side down and making your chosen "winning" face land pointing up.

How the Physics Work

The coin uses a fixed 0.6mm thick top face and an outer rim of 1.2mm for strength. Inside, the bottom 46% of the coin is solid plastic, acting as a heavy anchor. The upper half is mostly empty space supported by a thin cross-hair. Because the bottom is significantly heavier, the coin naturally wants to land with the heavy side facing the floor!

Crucial Print Settings

To make the weight-bias trick work flawlessly, the slicer settings are extremely important. You need the solid part to be as heavy as possible!

  • Layer Height: 0.1mm (Crucial for getting enough solid layers in a thin coin).
  • Line Width: 0.4mm (Matches the internal support structures perfectly).
  • Infill Density: 100%
  • Infill Pattern: Rectilinear (Ensures the heavy half is completely dense).
  • Wall Loops (Perimeters): 3
  • Top/Bottom Shell Layers: 3
