Additional assembly guide/tricks: So here's a bit of help for anyone who are overwhelmed by looking at the print plates and the work it takes to put this together. It's really not that hard if you follow a few basic methods, which I will outline below. Assembling this with my 9yr old son took around 15 minutes without stressing out or any major frustrations. It was a fun exercise and my son thinks it's super cool (actually so do I). When printing and removing all the cards from the print plate, make sure to keep them as they were printed, this will make assembly easier and I'll be referring to this in the guide below. If you get it mixed up, then use the plates in the slicer to arrange them again. Once you are in the middle of putting it all together, it's so much easier if you have the plates/cards arranged and sorted so you don't get confused. First, make sure you put the two sticks on as shown on the images. Put the middle rods in, with the clips and sitting on the correct rounded piece that holds the cards. Start out with the months. This wheel is simpler and larger, so it's good way to practice and get the hang of the system and how to click in the cards. Start with FEB, but the BOTTOM piece. You can start anywhere on the wheel, but make absolutely sure that you are getting it seated in the same hole on both sides. Then for the second piece and all pieces afterwards, you'll be moving backwards on the wheel. When the first two are done, you move to the right on the build plate (APR), but start with the BOTTOM piece again. After the bottom, add the top piece and then move down to the second row. Again you start with the bottom piece and you always move backward on the wheel. As you are adding the cards you can see that they all match up and the backside also match up with the month you didn't have face up (MAR for example). The concept for the days is exactly the same. The first row top left BOTTOM piece first, then the top piece and them move to the right until the end and then move down in numeric order. I found it easiest to slide in the tap in the bottom (closes to myself) and then slightly bend the card and snap it in at the top. Not a single piece broke and my son was having quite a hard time to start out but he was eventually able to put each card in, in just a few seconds. Light helps (especially if your model is black like mine). Don't be afraid to brake a piece — you can just print a replacement should that happen. For the side wheels that you twist to change month and date; I found them a bit finicky and maybe the one place this model could use some improvements. It seems they like to twist themselves out of the threads and get loose but keep trying to tighten them and re-adjust with the largest flathead screwdriver you can find, until it feels right and you can turn it without anything coming loose. I've seen others use a bit of glue and I considered that but after readjusting a few times, mine has stayed nicely in place while stile being possible to twist without too much force (edit: After playing around more with my right side wheel I added a super tiny drop of glue to keep the bolt/screw from twisting with the wheel and unscrew itself it you turn the dates backward). For the small top taps that holds the top cards in place; The longer one goes for the months on the left and the thick piece is pushed up into the hole until they sit tight (glue was not needed for me). I hope this helps someone :) Happy printing!

It's my model, I created it. When you look at the models you will see that they are different.

If you compare it you will notice that it is different. The flip calendar from WorkPlaceHero is assembled completly differently. Same idea, different models :)

Variations perhaps, yet it is clearly a remix Improvements exist, such as recessed wheels, but the overall structure, aesthetics, and mechanics are copied If this isn't classified as a remix, then we can forget about remixes ;p

DESIGN FLAW, the wheel of months, when rotated to advance the month, loosens the screw that holds it, this would not happen if the screw thread were reversed or if it were fixed in some other way

This is a different model. The gears are much better on this model anyway. And respectfully, maaaaany people have designed split flap displays. Picking a random one to credit would be a bit strange. haha

Hey, Is there really? I looked around for a fair bit, and couldn't find better ones (on makerworld at least). Looking back on it however, I can see the mechanism is fairly different on this calendar to Workspace Hero. @3DPrinterers Here is a link to what I thought it was previously. shop.theworkspacehero.com/products/flip-calendar-digital-stl-model

as long as you have the discs with the holes. you lay them out in the order they were printed. for me it was a bit of guess work but once you have the pattern it’s alright

The screw on the month side can come loose so I had to glue it in place. Cool design

Assemble the turning mechanism first, then you need to bend the numbers and months a little bit to assemble it
