Description
Universal Side License Plate Holder for Electric Scooter (Xiaomi, SmartGyro, etc.)
This is an original design for a universal side license plate holder optimized for electric scooters. It is designed to be aesthetically clean, robust, and highly resistant to daily city use.
Being anchored directly to the wheel axle (a high-stress area), the design requires printing completely solid (100% infill) to withstand screw pressure and absorb all road bumps without cracking.
🛠️ Recommended Print Settings (Tested on Bambu Lab):
- Suitable materials: PETG or PLA (If using PLA, good quality or PLA+ is recommended for greater outdoor durability).
- Infill: 100% (Solid). An essential requirement for the part to act as a compact block and avoid vibration fatigue.
- Supports: YES supports are required. It is recommended to activate automatic Tree Supports in Bambu Studio for clean removal, less filament consumption, and a flawless finish on overhangs.
- Walls: 4 or 5 walls (reinforces structural strength around the axle hole).
- Orientation: Place the part flat on the bed (the file is already oriented to optimize layer strength).
- Layer heights: 0.20 mm or 0.24 mm.
📦 Design Features:
- Compatibility: Universal. The anchor hole diameter fits the rear axle or structural hardware of most common models (Xiaomi, Cecotec, SmartGyro, etc.).
- License Plate Space: Standardized and clean dimensions for scooter license plates.
- Solid Anti-Vibration Structure: Its full density ensures that the part will not break or loosen easily.
🔩 Assembly Tips:
- Carefully remove the printed supports.
- Remove the nut or bolt from your scooter's rear axle.
- Place the printed holder sandwiched on the axle.
- Retighten the screw. Recommendation: Use a wide flat washer between the screw and the printed part to distribute the tightening force evenly and protect the plastic.
Note: Although sometimes there is a printing error that does not affect the print, it states it takes about 12 hours to print, but it actually takes about 2.1 hours.
