🧠 Behind the design (For makers & moderators)
Designing a clean, tapered wall in CAD usually requires complex 3D lofting. This generator solves it instantly and with minimal render times using a multi-layered 2D-to-3D offset technique.
By utilizing the offset(r = ...) vector command, the script extrudes three distinct 2D profiles: a sharp cutting blade, a structural support collar, and an ergonomic base handle. These three linear extrusions are stacked to form a single, incredibly robust manifold model with zero overlapping mesh errors. The custom text stamp uses a boolean intersection() with the base shape, guaranteeing that letters are always mathematically cropped to fit perfectly inside the cutter's geometry.
🖨️ Print settings:
- Material: PLA or PETG. (Always follow standard safety guidelines for 3D prints coming into contact with food!).
- Layer height: 0.20mm works beautifully.
- Supports: STRICTLY NONE. The stepped walls transition smoothly and require no support.
- Walls: Set wall loops to 3 to ensure the thin cutting blade is completely solid and sharp.
