Need a perfectly fitting plug for a tube, pipe, or custom hole? This fully parametric generator lets you create custom snap-fit end caps in seconds. Adjust the dimensions, tweak the snap-fit clips, and print exactly what you need. Perfect for DIY projects, furniture, and custom enclosures.

⚙️ Customizable Parameters

You can adjust the following settings to get a perfect fit for your specific use case:

Cap Options (The top cover):

  • cap_rad: The outer radius of the cap.
  • cap_hight: The height/thickness of the cap itself.
  • cap_fillet: Rounds the top edges of the cap for a smooth finish.

Tube Options (The inserted part):

  • tube_rad: The outer radius of the inserted tube section (match this to your hole).
  • tube_hight: How deep the plug goes into the hole.
  • tube_thickness: The wall thickness of the plug's stem.
  • tube_fillet: Chamfers/rounds the bottom edge to make insertion easier.

Snap-Fit & Flexibility Options:

  • clip_size: The length of the retaining clips to lock the plug in place. (set do 0.001 for no clip)
  • clip_angle: The angle of the clips (adjusts how easily it pushes in vs. pulls out).
  • slit_width: The width of the relief slits. Wider slits make the plug more flexible for easier insertion.

💡 Printing Recommendations

  • Material: PETG, ABS, or ASA are recommended for better flexibility and durability of the snap-fit clips. PLA works well for light-duty applications.
  • Infill: 15-20% is usually sufficient.
  • Supports: Not required if oriented flat on the cap.
