Description
Case for Garmin dash cam model x310. This model is designed to be suspended from the top of the cabin with an included magnetic mount. Since a friend needed to place it on the metal dashboard of his camper truck using the original attachment and wanted additional protection for the cam (given its cost), I designed this case that utilizes the included mount, keeping the cam in the correct position. This is because flipping it over would also flip the image, as Garmin has not provided software rotation for the display. Secondly, I also added a ring to support the camera for the highly probable chance of encountering uneven terrain. I used a TPU with a 220-degree nozzle. 70-degree bed, 50% density, and outer brim. I designed two versions: one with an off-center mount (my friend's requirement) and one with a central mount. I did not include a slot for removing the SD card upon request for security reasons.
