Description

This is my 3rd iteration on coming up with the most compact form I can make a Heltec T096 and 18650 fit.

Features

  • Lid clip to prevent bowing in the middle
  • Taller shape to fit the hand better.
  • Fits 18650 cell.
  • lanyard loop at the top.
  • I think the top might be possible to add a GNSS antenna but it's not required and I haven't tested it. should fit a 15x15x6 mm antenna.
  • Updated to add spring clip slots

Print Settings

  • Layer Height: First layer 0.2 and 0.16 after
  • Nozzle: 0.4
  • Material: PLA
  • Infill: 15%
  • Walls: 2
  • Supports: Not needed

Assembly

  1. Put the battery in
  2. Install SMA connector
  3. Install T096 first by slotting the USB-C connector in first. (might need to sand the overhang)
  4. Make sure the wires and antenna don't get in the way of the rails on the sides when pushing the T096 down.
  5. Snap cover on and fasten with 4 M2*6 screws. (mine are Vigrue brand 1080 piece set)
