Printer test model when buying used printers 50g

Ever buy a used printer and not be confident that it works as advertised? 

Don't take that gamble!  Send the seller this test model to run prior to you arriving, and request that they leave it on the build plate as proof that the printer works as advertised.  There is no denying that the printer printed it, if its still stuck to the build plate when you arrive!

This model is not a calibration model, it does not test over hangs, extrusion, nothing like that.  This test was designed to make sure the printer can print most of the build plate, as well as show that the Z axis is clean and not bend.  You can scale it up or down, but going too small will make that first layer pretty thin.  I recommend scaling so the bottom is only 1 layer thick.  That will show you how even the bed is and if the printer can print big flat models. 

The vertical part will show the z axis wear and tear, as well as show layer shifts, VFAs, ghosting and overall print quality.  Check around the engraved letters for ghosting and VFAs, check around the corners to see proper extrusion and cornering and ringing, check the circle section to see if there are visible layer shifting.  Finally check the pyramid top to ensure it can complete a top without knocking the entire model below over. 

Again, this is not a test of calibration, just a simple test model for you to be confident that the used printer you are buying can perform basic 3D printer tasks.
